Winzer Krems - Austria

Winzer Krems is Europe’s oldest Wine-growers association. Chronicles dating back to the 11th century mention the “KREMSER SANDGRUBE”. A single vineyard; which down to the present day has remained the best-known origin of Austrian GRÜNER ELTLINER wine. Today WINZER KREMS is supplied only with grapes from contract vineyards of the city of Krems and neighboring communities. Selected in accordance with rigorous quality controls, the grapes are “hand picked” and carefully pressed, fermented at a controlled temperature and matured naturally.

Zorzettig – Italy

In the heart of the Collio, the Eastern Hills of Friuli, the most classic and celebrated winegrowing area of Friuli, the Zorzettig family has been tending a grape-growing farm and winery for generations with steadfast dedication, drawing from the age-old experience handed down from father to son, but also with an eye on technological innovation.

The old manor house that dominates the pleasant hilly landscape has been kept intact both inside and outside, just as it was in the past. Here friends often gather around the ancient Friulian "fogolar" fireplace to bask in the special warmth given off not only by the fire but particularly by the simplicity and hospitality of this family.

Giuseppe Zorzettig, with his wife and children, runs the farm and winery with great care, making wine for loyal connoisseurs and for a constantly growing market. The product is carefully tended in every detail: all the wine offered by the Zorzettig winery is made from selected grapes from its own vineyards. The wine is made with respect to traditional principles improved by modern techniques, aimed at making excellent wines from genuine grapes.
The cellar is an ancient brick-lined underground vaulted room, an ideal home for the large oaken barrels and the smaller barriques. This is where the wine completes its maturing process and achieves its final state of refinement.
